Questions For Me:

What is your dream city to live in? Why?

As crazy as this is, I would die if I could live in Dublin, Ireland! I have never been there, but I think that would be the best thing ever. I enjoy a good Guinness every now and then and I’ll eat my weight in fish and chips! Dublin is so rich in history and it looks beautiful! I’m so looking forward to seeing Ireland next summer.

Cost of trips aside, how often would you want to travel if your job allowed it?

Realistically, I would try and plan a trip every 3 months or so! I love going new places and exploring, but I also really enjoy being at home with my husband and our dogs!

What is your favourite travel App?

My favorite travel app, hands down, is TripAdvisor. I use this app to see restaurant and hotel reviews as well as tour information and the popular things to do in the cities we will be visiting. I couldn’t travel without it!

What’s the scariest travel experience you’ve had?

Thankfully, I haven’t really had a scary travel experience. I would say my most stressful experience took place this past March when my flight from New York was delayed 2 hours and I had to literally sprint to a different terminal with only 8 minutes to make my connection at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport and catch my flight back to Oklahoma.

Would you rather stay somewhere luxurious for a couple of days or go backpacking in hostels for a couple weeks?

Had I been asked this about a year ago, I would have said somewhere luxurious for a couple of days. Now, I would choose go backpacking in hostels for a couple of week. I rather get the most out of my trip and see everything I possibly can all while saving some money! If I’m being honest, we usually never even see our hotel room other than to sleep when we go somewhere, so why waste the money?

Best meal you’ve eaten abroad?/Best city for food?

The best city for food that I have had the chance to experience would be Whistler, British Columbia. For such a small town, there are so many exceptional food choices and experiences to be had. Hy’s Steakhouse should not be overlooked as well as the Ketal One Vodka Tasting Experience at the Barefoot Bistro. How many places can you sample vodka in a -25*F ice room?

Most romantic thing that has happened to you while traveling?

As much as I wish I had a good story for this, I really don’t. My husband is not the romantic type at all. When we were at Atlantis in the Bahamas, we would go down to the marina everyday, order a pizza, and sit and stare at all the super yachts and sailboats. I know Brady must have been completely sick of pizza and staring at these multi-million dollar boats that were just sitting in the water, but he never once said a thing about it. He knew I enjoyed it so much and he didn’t want to ruin that for me!

Vacation 8

Where would your dream honeymoon be?

When I think of honeymoon, I think about being on the beach. I absolutely loved our honeymoon to Atlantis Paradise Island and the reason we chose this destination is because of the lack of time it took to fly there!

My absolute dream honeymoon would be to Moorea in the French Polynesia. I’ve always wanted to stay in an overwater bungalow where the crystal-clear water is 5 feet from my bed!

Do you prefer travelling in organized groups, solo, with friends, with family, or with a significant other? Why?

My husband and I have always traveled together, especially on big trips. We do clash at times because I am constantly wanting to be on the go while he likes to relax. Because of me, we usually come back from vacation more exhausted than when we left, but at least we get to say we saw everything and then some. The best part for me is that he trusts me to plan everything from our adventures to accommodations to flights.

If you had to visit one foreign country or city every year, what would it be?

Of the places I have been, I would absolutely go back to Whistler, British Columbia every year. Even though there is more than enough to do there, it is an hour’s drive from Vancouver, so the opportunities are endless! Also, I could drive the Sea to Sky Highway everyday for the rest of my life and not get tired of the fascinating views.

What inspired you to become a blogger?

I love getting to share my experiences from traveling and all the neat things we get to see and do. I’ve always enjoyed writing, so I saw writing about our trips as a good opportunity to start a blog. I also love getting to read up on cities we may be visiting and see what other people have done and experienced there. It is my hope that people look at my blog and learn something about a place I have been, or enjoy my useless information I post at times!
